This paper presents a heuristic technique for improving the voltage profile and reducing power loss in distribution network. These components are to be maintained at certain standard boost electricity supply of The shunt capacitor placement is applied achieve sustainable electric supply. issue has been major threat A network expected operate level meet consumers’ energy demand. Power flow studies have conducted using Newton Raphson’s on 30 bus, 11 kV Onuiyi-Nsukka It was found that buses 19 26 critically violated with amplitudes 0.72 pu 0.79 respectively. feeder quality improved installation 1200KVAr keep bus within legal limit (0.95-1.05) pu. profile, active reactive losses were determined. Active reduced from 0.27MW 0.12MW 0.76Mvar 0.14Mvar, Therefore, significantly reduced.
